Diamond In The Rough Bridal Collection

Diamond in the Rough, the jewelry collection that features natural rough diamonds is officially launching a bridal collection to hit retail stores this fall. The collection consists of nine solitaire ring designs and also includes natural rough diamond and micro pavé diamond bands available in platinum, 18k white gold and 18k yellow gold.

Because each of the rough stones has its own idiosyncratic shape each ring is hand-crafted and designed around the stone. The collection ranges from $4,500-$10,000 retail, with special pieces over $10,000 and bands starting at $2,000 retail. The bridal collection is available at Neiman Marcus and other retailers.

De Beers Wildflowers Collection

South African rare wildflowers bedecked in diamonds makes up De Beers Wildflowers Collection. As a tribute to their mining facilities in that very geography, De Beers' collection is made up of necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, and rings all highlighting this simple floral design that is both whimsical and sophisticated.

Most of the collection is composed of white gold and diamonds but some pieces feature chocolate diamonds paired with yellow gold -- the second jewelry feature I've written about with chocolate diamonds included -- delicious!

Lenny Dykstra To Auction Off World Series Ring

The Lenny Dykstra sales continues with the news that some of Dykstra's most treasured trophies will be up for auction at Heritage Auctions October sports memorabilia sale. The sale will feature several of what have to be some hard-to-let-go-of items including his diamond and gold 1986 World Series championship ring, his replica World Championship trophy, his home run ball that won game three of the National League Championship Series in 1986 and his 1990, 1994 and 1995 All-Star Game rings.

The NY Daily News reports that the former baseball legend began shopping the items around about a month after he filed for bankruptcy, presumably when he was still in control of his own finances. Now a court-ordered trustee is handling his affairs and the NY Daily News says that Dykstra was recently banned from the Lake Sherwood community in Southern California where he still owns a mansion he bought from Wayne Gretzky (another home he owns nearby is already on the market). Dykstra, who just a few short years ago was held up as an example of how to be smart with your money after retiring from professional sports, is now said to be worth less than $50,000.
