LG GW300 will be Available via O2 and Orange UK

Remember that GW300 phone from LG which we showed you a while ago? Well this BlackBerry-like phone will be available in the UK from O2 and Orange. The price hasn’t been officially announced yet but you should be able to get it for a pretty good price, if not free, with new contracts.

The phone has very limited features to offer you but it will be a great messaging phone, if that’s what you require. The GW300 comes with a 2.4-inch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1, 2-megapixel camera, 10MB of internal memory upgradeable up to 4GB via microSD cards and some extra features like Facebook app and LiveSquare.

Samsung and Alltel Introduce Samsung Freeform

Samsung Freeform has introduced by Samsung Mobile and will available immediately via Alltel retail stores, Samsung Freeform has Slim Bar Design with Four-row QWERTY keyboard, a 2.2 inch QCIF color display, and two color options, teal and red wine. It is equipped with Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Technology, a GPS and an expandable memory up to 16GB.

Motorola CLIQ Android Smartphone

Headed to T-Mobile this fall is the Google Android-powered Motorola CLIQ. This smartphone will be available in titanium or winter white colors. It features 3.1-inch touchscreen, 5.0-megapixel camera, QWERTY keypad, Wi-Fi, and microSD expansion. No word yet on pricing. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Samsung Braille Touchscreen Phone For Blind

Braille applied to mobile telephony, fourth episode. Do not be sluggish, but not raise the white flag even the study of a first real phone for the blind. Last Tuvie concept comes from and goes beyond the concept of touch screen, uses the technology called functional tactile feedback.

The Korean designer Seonkeun Park has worked for some time at a conceptual prototype mobile phone for the blind complete with screen and keyboard with braille symbols. With the use of Plastic Electric Active, you can activate the technology of “functional tactile feedback”, as called by the inventor.

It is a particular feature of the phone that could then display in real time any text the user through a system of non-auditory as tactile feedback, based on Braille. So the blind can not only read and send SMS, but also to play or even have access to online services simplified. But for the moment it is better to go cautious. The Braille has inspired several projects such as the glove-translator, mobile phone and another phone vibrating Conceptual Samsung.

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition

Nokia has launched its new model which is named as Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, a full GPS-centric variant of the Nokia 5800 XpresMusic.Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition will be available in Chrome and Black color.

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition matches the functionality of its predecessor almost perfectly.Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition will come in three different flavors, each packing quad-band GSM connectivity, two of them will also pack WLAN and dual-band 3G with HSDPA, while the third one.

The main differences are the added lifetime Drive and Walk navigation license and the cool looking stand and car charger.Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition will be available at a price of Euro 285.

Nokia unveils sleek X-series range with two new models

Nokia's recently announced ‘X-series’, which currently consists of the X3 and X6, looks to build on the success of the XpressMusic series with some funky new styling and a healthy set of features.

The X3 is a slide model sporting a 2.2” (240x320) display and retains the media-oriented features of XpressMusic with a 3.5mm jack and dedicated music controls. It’s only 2G, but does offer a 3.2MP camera, FM radio with built-in antenna and stereo speakers, along with a 2GB microSD card to boost the internal memory. Available in red, black/blue and silver, the X3 also claims green credentials as up to 80% of the components are recyclable.

At the other end of the scale the more powerful X6 is a 3.2” (640x360) touchscreen device that effectively upgrades the current 5800 XpressMusic with a sleek new look and a 5MP digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics. It’s also available with Nokia’s ‘Comes With Music’ service and has 32GB of internal memory on which to store your tunes. Though this isn’t expandable via microSD its music-oriented design is confirmed with up to 35 hours playback. Other media features include 640x480 video recording at 30fps, built-in video and photo editing and as well as a 3.5mm jack and stereo speakers there’s a TV-out to view content on the big screen.

The X6 is a 3G tri-band phone with A-GPS but despite this healthy range of features and a snazzy new look, seems fairly expensive at EUR 450 SIM-free. The X3 on the other hand, will cost a pocket-friendly EUR 115 and both phones will be available from Q4 this year.

Samsung B3310: Quirky QWERTY - Mobile Phone

The Samsung B3310 has hit the streets of France and will go on sale in the UK in September. It is primarily a social networking phone, but these days, what handset isn’t used for that? To emphasize the point though, Samsung have included a one-click button to popular social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Flickr.

The QWERTY keypad is a great addition, and will make updating Twitter much more accurate than if you had to aim your thumb on a touchscreen. Feature-wise, we’re hoping that Samsung pitches this phone at a bargain basement price as you only get a 2.1 inch screen, 2 megapixel camera, and just has GPRS connectivity for uploading your piccies onto Facebook.

Internal memory is also on the meager side at just 40MB, but there is the option to expand this with a microSD card. There is a music player on this handset and FM radio so you’ll never be caught short of a tune.

The battery of the B3310 does boast a solid 5 hours of talk time or 380 hours of standby which is necessary to mane sure you can keep up with what your friends are doing all day, and still be able to take a call from mum asking when you’ll be home for dinner.

CoPilot Live v8 comes to Android and Windows Mobile

Sony Ericsson Aino- 8-MP with the PlayStation 3

Sony Ericsson Aino: 8-MP camera, and integration with the PlayStation 3 In a new series of Entertainment Unlimited has entered the touch phone Sony Ericsson Aino.
